Sue Booth returned for a demonstration of patchwork techniques on the knitting machine.

As usual, she brought a selection of her designs

and lots of patterns for us to use.

She showed us how to connect panels of knitting, to create the asymmetrical stripes seen above; and then she went on to show us various techniques to use with patchwork knitting [and other designs]

She used lots of hand tooled methods including this

and this ‘magic fairisle’ technique

She also showed us some simple cabling techniques with one and three pronged transfer tools

and, as ever, she inspired and delighted us

Most of us left with a pattern or two, and lots of inspiration and a desire to get knitting! What more can you ask?
