June 2012 The Guild of Machine Knitters AGM

This year was another bonus one for Long Buckby Machine Knitters.

Not only did we win the Sherborne Vase for the 2nd year running, but Doris won the Fiskerton Cup.

Our entry for the ‘Going for Gold’ themed challenge was a scene from Jason and the Argonauts, where Jason is seeking to recover the Golden Fleece:

Club members Pat, Fran, Lynda, Kath, Patricia and Lynne worked together to produce this entirely machine knitted work.

Lynda and Fran were at the AGM to receive the prize:

Doris also won the Fiskerton Cup for her superb cardigan, knitted from a Sue Booth pattern:
