Saturday 20th October
This year’s Knit and Natter was again very well attended – over 140 visitors!

which can be seen here created some tight squeezes! There was some pressure on the demonstration tables, which this year included:
crochet
Tunisian crochet
crocheted beaded necklaces
patchwork knitting
knitting machine clinic
The morning was spent at these activities, or in shopping at the various stalls.
In the afternoon, the raffle was drawn – some of the prizes shown below

and we were delighted to welcome Maggie Warren as our speaker.
She showed us her collection of felted garments embellished with machine embroidery:

and described in lots of detail how she worked, which was inspiring

and gave us plenty of ideas to go away with

Oxfam was our chosen charity this year, and we were delighted to make scarves, blankets and other items for them to sell in their shops

All in all, a highly productive and worthwhile day!
