knit and natter 2013

Long Buckby Knit and Natter 2013

This annual event was less well attended than previous years, but that left more room to move for the attendees, and they certainly used the space!

There were activities around the theme of flowers, including flower looms, crochet, knitting and knitting boards, as well as clinics in machine and hand knitting and crochet.

One of the activities involved making Christmas tree directions and the pattern can be downloaded here.

There was also time and space to shop with the traders, and to partake of the refreshments in the cafe.

Jools Elphick was the speaker, and presented her work with humour and aplomb:  after her entertaining talk, members of the audience went up on stage to try on her hats, with guidance from Jools on how best to wear them.

All in all, another successful event, which we can look back on with pleasure, now the hard work of packing up is over!
