Long Buckby Machine Knitters

Long Buckby Machine Knitters is a club primarily for sharing ideas and expertise about machine knitting, although we also indulge in other textile crafts.

We welcome anyone who wishes to share with us, and anyone who would like to visit from other clubs.

We are also happy to visit other clubs, and share our expertise.

Meetings are held at Long Buckby Community Centre each month from 2 – 4 pm on the second Monday of each month

    Joining Knitting This was part presentation of pictures and video, and part demonstration [by Pat] of various joining methods, including on and off the machine. The meeting was well attended, and, with our first complete use of the equipment since the beginning of the pandemic, it felt like we were returning to ‘normal’ service.

    Cascade download here     The version above was knitted in Yeoman’s Panama, 4 ply, at T7 on a standard gauge machine. 30 stitches and 42 rows per 10cm/4 inches.  The pattern should have this information, but the wrong file keeps appearing – the wonders of technology!!!
